I decided to take a few minutes today and catch up
on all the podcasting buzz that I’ve been ignoring.
Hmph. Podcast indexes and directories are still kind of rough and I don’t really feel like digging
around for feeds that I like. I’m sure things will improve for us consumers – there seem to be lots of people out
there who are trying to make a buck off of this.

I am hoping use podcast oriented software like iPodder
for my own purposes. Almost all of the record labels and artists that I like provide free, full-length,
high-quality MP3s on their websites. I should be able to use a scraper like mfeeds.com
for sites that put all their MP3 links on nice one-stop shopping pages. For others, I’ll probably have
to hack up something incorporating this stupid google trick.

While digging around, I turned up Denali’s demo at Jade Tree Records.
Cool. They were even nice enough to zip up the set of tracks and include a PDF of the album cover.
Give it a try and pick up their first album
if you like what you hear (it contains polished versions of many of these demo songs).
